Program Faculty:
Dr. Shawn McKinney is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist and Professor of Clinical Surgery at LSU Health New Orleans. With more than 20 years of experience, she specializes in multidisciplinary breast cancer care, high-risk evaluation, and advancing equitable access to screening and treatment. Dr. McKinney serves in systemwide breast leadership roles and is active in national surgical and oncology societies. She is committed to combining surgical excellence, quality improvement, and patient-centered innovation to improve outcomes for individuals facing breast cancer.
Dr. Erica Giblin is a breast surgeon at Ascension St. Vincent in Carmel, Indiana. Dr. Giblin diagnoses and treats women and men with breast cancer, lymph node tumors and other breast diseases. She specializes in breast conserving surgery, nipple sparing mastectomies, GPS-Detect magnetic seed localized lumpectomies, and blood DNA monitoring for disease recurrence in survivorship.
